Woohoo curtains!

Yes you guessed it I've bought curtains. They are of course purple and look fab. Even better they were on sale and cost only £20.00 woohooo! There you go that's the highlight of the day.
Yesterday I entered the Temple of Hobbycraft. I purchased more jewellery bits and things to make my Mum's cake topper. She turns 70 on Sunday. Surely I'm not old enough to have a Mum of 70? The cake will have a gardening theme as this is her favourite hobby, well really it's number 2 as shopping is really her favourite. Especially if she's spending Dad's money. She's taught me to shop like a professional, and oh boy she's good.
Any way back to the cake. I'm hoping to make some lilies to go on the cake and I've bought a sparkler candle thingy and 2 candles in the shape of a 7 and a 0. Genius! I can make the figures right, just so long as I put them on the cake in the right order. Going to Hobbycraft has really worn me out today. My back feels like it could break in half and yes I know it won't (well I hope it won't and according to my 2 years at college studying medicine it won't). My knees are swollen and sore and strangely so my hands are too. MG is a very cruel illness as I know that the day after the shopping I will feel this way. It isn't helped by me being sick and the chest infection I currently have. Thankfully the kids and Paul will help with some chores and I will probably have to make the topper tomorrow as I just can't stay awake and ache too much. MG is hard work and because Paul's working today the dinner tonight is something easy. The joy of ready meals allows us to have food that isn't from the takeaway. I hate the fact I can't stand long enough to cook nor that I can't lift the heavy pans. I'm a Mum not a blooming shopper of ready meals. I should be able to make meals and it really angers me that I can't provide even the most basic meal for them. I truly feel pathetic because of this.  :(
Ok rant over. I'm off to admire the new curtains and hopefully gather enough strength to make the topper. I'll post pics on here so you can admire my handiwork or as I am more likely to find , laugh at it.
See you soon sweeties xxx
